Privacy Policy

We only collect what’s needed to run the app:

• Account information. When you sign in on the website, authentication is handled by Clerk (our sign-in provider). This typically includes your email address and sign-in credentials. We don’t store passwords ourselves.
• Ride data. GPS location traces, heart rate readings, lap times, moto and rest durations, and any notes you add to a ride. This comes from your watch (via Apple HealthKit and location services, or Garmin Connect IQ) and is uploaded to our servers so you can review it on the website.
• Device pairing. If you pair a watch directly with your account for automatic syncing, we store a pairing token and basic device info (like watch model) tied to your account.
• Garmin account connection (optional). If you choose to connect a Garmin account, we store the OAuth tokens Garmin issues so we can pull your activities on your behalf. This is entirely optional and only happens if you connect it yourself.

We do not use advertising or analytics trackers, and we do not sell your data to anyone.

Heart rate and location data collected via Apple HealthKit or Garmin’s platform are used solely to power the app’s own features — lap splits, heart rate charts, and course maps. This data is never used for advertising and is never shared with third parties for their own purposes.

Ride data is used to show your ride history, lap-by-lap breakdowns, heart rate charts, and course maps. Account information is used to identify you and keep your rides private to your account. That’s it — we don’t use your data for anything beyond running the app.

We use a small number of service providers to run the app, and share only what’s necessary with each:

• Clerk— handles authentication (sign-in/sign-up).
• Garmin— only if you connect a Garmin account, to sync activities.

We don’t share your data with advertisers or data brokers.

Data is transmitted between the app and our servers over encrypted HTTPS connections and stored in our database. Device pairing and API access use per-device tokens rather than shared credentials.

We keep your data for as long as your account is active. To request deletion of your account and all associated ride data, email us at tomerock@gmail.com and we’ll take care of it.

Motocross Tracker is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.

If this policy changes, we’ll update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after a change means you accept the updated policy.
